Celebrates innovation and creativity in journalistic coverage among young Arab journalists. The submitted work should be creative and unconventional in term of story angle or offering a solution to the phenomenon through the feature. Nominated journalists should be below 30 years old and work full time for online or print media.

Political Journalism category
Awarded to the best political analysis, editorial, feature or report, which should contain in depth analysis and information, that offers a comprehensive understanding about political issues. Added to that, the submitted work should cover a current affair topic, and offer a clear vision of the topic.

The board of directors of the Arab Journalism Award is responsible for granting the Award.

OUR HISTORY
20 years of distinguished journalism
The Arab Journalism Awards, launched in 1999, is the region’s most prestigious award recognising journalistic excellence. The award’s main goal is to reward talent, inspire, and stimulate creativity. It is also aimed at enhancing the constructive role of the press in serving the community.
Since its launch under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Arab Journalism Award has helped improve the quality of journalism and media in the Arab world.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid tasked Dubai Press Club to launch the Award, and to put in a place a process to ensure the integrity of the selection criteria, and set an independent board of directors in charge of the Award. Since the launch of the Award, DPC collaborated with Federation of Arab Journalists along with prominent Arab media personalities, to ensure that the integrity of the Award and its comprehensiveness to include all Arab.
